Swiss state-owned bank PostFinance has announced the launch of the Ether (ETH) staking service, making it one of the first financial institutions in the country to provide such an opportunity. Customers will be able to start staking with a minimum deposit of 0.1 ETH (about $331) for a fixed period of 12 weeks.
The service is fully integrated into the bank's current systems, allowing customers to see their staking rewards along with other assets in the financial statements. According to Alexander Toma, head of digital assets at PostFinance, this initiative demonstrates the bank's commitment to developing innovative financial solutions.
The bank has previously implemented crypto products, including trading and storing cryptocurrencies, as well as issuing digital collectible assets. The new service is another step in expanding the availability of cryptocurrencies to a wide audience.
